Just a short while ago I learned that Farrah Fawcett passed away this morning. She died of anal cancer. Im in such a mood right now... it makes me so ANGRY. Another senseless death chalked up to the "Big C". Cancer doesnt care if you're pretty, old, skinny, rich, poor, mean or wonderful. It doesnt care about what you do or how you impact others... it just comes and takes and takes and takes. It takes whoever or whatever it wants to without regard. I HATE it. I really freaking hate it.
Medical Science has truly come a long way, but it amazes me to no end that there isnt more that can be done for cancer. I know for everyone a cure just isnt possible, but it SHOULD be. It seems like it should be able to be handled with a prescription or something, just like an other general illness. I know it cant be that simple, Im not naive, yes I realize there are so many different types of cancer, different treatments, etc, but Im just angry.. enraged in fact. Gah.
One in every THREE women, and one in every TWO men will hear the words "You have cancer" at some point in their life. Thats entirely TOO many people. And it has a ripple effect... that means in all actuality every person in the world will be touched by cancer in one way or another in their lifetime. We have to stop it and together, we WILL. I hope everyone will do what they can to fight this disease and raise awareness.

It's a horrible disease, no matter what type you have. I was very saddened to hear about Farrah, but I realize she's just one of millions who has been suffering. So sad.
